HeatDemons.com is the official site for Symtec Heat Demons. Symtec-Inc was founded in 1989 based on the need for a Thumbwarmer for the snowmobile as riding in cold weather seriously affected the riders ability to control the throttle when the rider's thumb got cold. The company soon got into the HandleBar business for snowmobiles. In 2002 new decisions were made regarding expanding the technologies and growing the company. New heater and electronic technologies were developed and those products are paving the way into a new exciting future with many more Symtec products on the drawing board.
It sure would be nice to have a pair of Grip Symtec Grip Warmerskeeping your hands toasty while also letting you keep that pair of custom grips on the handlebars, wouldn’t it? Here at SYMTEC-INC we thought so, too. About a year ago we decided to do something about it. The fully adjustable “Heat Demons”–there are four separate heat settings–mount the heating element inside the handlebars. With the Heat Demons you’re not stuck with some generic looking grips just because you want warm hands. Custom grips, stock grips, they all work with the Heat Demons. And the price for this? About half of what a Harley Davidson dealership would charge for their one-look-for-everyone Heated Grips, and the Heat Demons can be installed by almost anyone. Since 1989 STMTEC has been coming up with innovative solutions like this. The Heat Demons are just their latest outdoor warming product for the motorsports industry–SYMTEC has a full lineup of Grip Warmers, Saet Haeters and Heated Vests all aimed at the ATV and snowmobile crowd. Suffice it to say this Fridley, Minnesota, company knows how to keep people warm. And with the Heat Demons they’ve shown they know how to keep style-conscious Harley riders happy, too. Two versions of the Heat Demons are available, one chrome plated, one black. Each neatly fits right on a Harley’s handlebar to replace the factory split-clamp at the leading edge of the throttle/brake and clutch lever housings. All the wiring and the heater elements install inside the handlebar itself so nothing shows on the outside that doesn’t look right. And switching the heaters on and off is easy. The controls are right there at your fingertips. Monitoring which heat level you’re on–there are four, remember–is just as easy. A series of recessed LEDs are built in, each illuminating with a different color for the various heat-level settings. Here at SYMTEC we even included a thermister to maintain a consistent heat level during temperature changes. And all of this works under any style grip you have on the bike, stock or aftermarket. Here’s something else. In a really custom application where a rider might not want anything up on the handlebars to clutter the look he can still have Heat Demons and Heated Grips. The control unit and switch can be remotely mounted. Riders have modified headlight buckets to mount the Heat Demon controls, they’ve mounted them down low alongside and under the seat–the possible location for concealing things is limited only by imagination. And no matter where or how the Heat Demons are installed–the controls up on the handlebars or not–the result is always the same. Toasty warm grips and a happy ride. The cold-weather riding season is coming. The time for some heated grips is now. Symtec's Heat Demons are as neat and clean a solution as you’re likely to find. The Heat Demons look right, they’re designed right, they’re easy to install, they’re adjustable and they’re sure priced right. And maybe most important of all–they work with any style grip.
